The OSHABloodborne.com Bloodborne Pathogens training and certification course is an OSHA mandated training program for all Tattoo Artists and Body Piercers personnel who as part of their job requirement, may be reasonably anticipated to face contact with blood, infectious disease and other potentially infectious materials (OPIM) as the result of performing their job duties.
Since tattooing and piercing generate blood, personnel in this industry fall under the scope of the OSHA standard 29 CRF 1910.1030. Proper implementation of a Bloodborne Pathogens exposure control plan, infection control procedures, and standard precautions protect not only Tattoo Artists and Body Piercers personnel from potential exposure, but clients, as well.
The course will also teach how to prevent Bloodborne Pathogen exposure by taking proper Bloodborne Pathogen safety precautions, and taking effective action in the event of an exposure.
OSHABloodborne.com is for all Tattoo and Body Piercers personnel who must comply with OSHA standard 29 CFR 1910.1030.
